May 30 Highlights!
It was a holiday weekend at North Creek, but the house was full! For those of you who went on vacation over the weekend, we missed you, but hope that you had a great time away! Now come back!
Most exciting news of the morning…ANOTHER BABY IS ON THE WAY!!!! Number six for our church belongs to the Lundervolds! Congrats and we can’t wait!
On that note, we have plans in the works for a new nursery. We’ll start construction this week on the kitchen and totally gut it to accomodate the Little A’s and babies in the nursery. Here we go!!! We’ll also keep our current (and small) nursery as a nursing mom’s room since they can hear the service and have some privacy.
Saturday services are official! We will beginning a Saturday night option on July 10 at 7:00 pm. It will be the exact same one hour service as our Sunday morning venue with complete childcare and coffee…although we’ll make more decaf for those of you who would prefer that!
With a Saturday service we will need more volunteers for all three services. If you are not already volunteering, please email me at stacy@coffeechurch.com and we’ll get you signed up.
We talked about communion on Sunday and it was awesome! It’s a topic that is so fundamental to the Christian religion, but is rarely taught on. It’s was a great time as we all took communion together.
Mark and I have been feverishly working on redoing our daughters bedroom. They had separate bedrooms, but wanted to share. We got some bunkbeds off of craigslist and have been painting our guts out! We’ll be done soon.
We are meeting with a church consultant tomorrow to get some wisdom about our strengths and weaknesses. So important to get an outside perspective and be willing to grow!
A young boy in our church flipped open his phone at church and said to me, “What’s your number?” I answered him and then he said, “So, what’s your name?” I’m wondering if that strategy is gonna work on the girls in high school, ’cause it sure made me smile!
We had to say goodbye to the Joel and Deserae Schultz family. They are moving to Michigan. We’ll miss them terribly! Joel and Deserae are veterans, so it was nice to pair that with honoring our service people on Memorial Day. Although it’s a day to honor those that have passed, it’s still a nice opportunity to thank all that are willing to give their lives for our safety!
It’s great to be a part of our church! Thanks for your part in this journey!
