Sunday was…cold.  Yikes!  Can you believe the weather we are having?  I have to admit I don’t like a thing about it!  Being cold is some form of torture for me that I would like to end.

On a warmer note, we had missionaries Chris and Heather Schneider come and speak at both campuses at once.  They did a great job!  Would you consider writing a monthly Be Present check to help our missionaries do their ministries all over the world?  We love them so much and are grateful for their sacrifice.

Speaking of the world, did I mention how impressed I am that you all helped to reach our $2500 Charity Water goal last month?  LOVE that our church does what they can for others.

Overall, the budget got blown out of the water last month.  Thank you so much for giving!  We have been right on the edge for most of the year, dangerously so at times, but November helped kicked us back in gear.  We are very grateful and have a shot at ending the year in the black with margin for the future.  Hot ticket items are ADA bathrooms at Hazel Dell, a youth ministry at Battle Ground, and more campuses all over Clark County…:)  A girl can dream!  When you give, we GO!  Let’s change the world.

I was slowed down this weekend in my quest to change the world as my daughter was sick on Saturday, but she seemed to rally on Sunday.  There is some nasty stuff going around to lots of families and I’d like to avoid it as much as possible! We are praying for those of you who have been hit with the flu.

The new building for Hazel Dell has closed and the countdown to moving is on.  We never stop doing our best at ministry either, so it’s all hands on deck while we nail out some projects and get ready.  You can help us this week at the following times:

  • W-F from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30 pm
  • Saturday – Times coming soon…you should go like our Facebook page HERE for up to the minute updates.

(We hit 500 likes on Facebook.  I’m pretty excited about that!  You know you want to be number 501…)

Also, if our regular times don’t work for you, but you are willing to come at an off time, we will gladly work with your schedule.  Particularly if you have mad skills at renovation.  We are close to being done with painting, but the list is long on what needs to be installed and done.  You can email me at stacy@coffeechurch.com and I’ll hook you up!

We had our staff and board Christmas party on Sunday.  Such an amazing group of people that I dearly cherish.  We are BLESSED with a team that serves their guts out and does all of the hard stuff with very little in return.  It was fun to be with them!

It’s fun to be with you, too.  Thank you for being such a great church to lead and learn from.  I hope you enjoy this holiday season!

Join us for Simply Christmas on December 17 at Hazel Dell and December 18 at Battle Ground – 7:00 pm.

Childcare provide up to Kindergarten.

This weekend was non-stop fun at North Creek!

We had Jeff and Angela Welk back visiting with us.  They helped us start North Creek seven years ago and played a huge role in our initial years of getting off the ground.  They will be friends of ours forever and it was so amazing to reminisce and catch up!

Chris and Mark both continued on with the Be Present series in our hearing services.  It is a lifestyle switch to be outward thinking all of the time as Christians.  Our world very often tells us to take care of ourselves first, but God has a much different agenda for our time, talent, and money.  He wants us to learn to keep an eye on others and trust Him to make sure our own needs are met.

Are you ready to get baptized?  We want to celebrate NEW LIFE in January with the new year and with a new location for Hazel Dell.  If you would like to get scheduled, you can fill out the registration form at www.coffeechurch.com RIGHT NOW!

Why are you still reading?  Seriously, fill out the baptism form. 🙂

We met with our friend, Jeffery Portmann yesterday who is going to be starting a church in Puyallup.  Would you commit to pray for him and his launch team as they dive into the greatest adventure of their lives?  We can’t wait to cheer them on!  Jeffery grew up in the Vancouver area and can actually remember going to the Edelweiss restaurant as a reward from his church.  In this strange twist of events, the Edelweiss will be our new church facility!

Our Tiny Town classes at both campuses are bursting at the seams!  We would love to separate the classes a bit more, which means doubling our Tiny Town volunteers.  Would you consider teaching ONE Sunday a month and making the difference in the life of a child?  We love having so many young families at our church, but that also means we need to jump in and teach the people we reach.  We happen to reach ALOT of 3 year olds…  You can sign up to volunteer at www.coffeechurch.com as well.

We love pastoring this church.  Our “problems” are awesome.

We are READY for the Christmas season!  Join us on December 17 or 18 for our Simply Christmas Worship Concert to honor our Savior this holiday season.  Also, invite a friend on December 22 to come to church with you and celebrate Christmas.

We had another pregnancy announcement from one of our North Creek families again this week.  Yes, that makes three pregnancies announced in three weeks.  Anyone want to join the May/June baby rush???  Did I mention we need workers in Tiny Town?…

I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving week!  Whether you are surrounded by family and friends or going solo, know that you are loved and valuable…both to our church and to a God who created you with a plan and a purpose!

Be blessed!

It was a pretty amazing weekend!  I hope that all of our veterans had a wonderful Monday as we celebrated your service!  There are just no words to thank you enough for what you do for our families.  As Christians, we intimately understand what it means to be willing to lay down your life for a stranger….pretty awesome!

Sunday was packed at all three campuses!  Hazel Dell, Battle Ground, and Battle Ground Deaf Church were all well attended with many guests…that’s how we like it.  Everybody is welcome, no matter what your story, to come and learn about who Jesus is!

Wasn’t the Phil Stacey concert amazing?!?!?  I had a lot of fun and very much enjoyed each of the singers.  Matt Garner, Eddie Coleman, and Lee Malone might have been my favorite, though!  If you’d still like to give to Charity Water, here is the link:  http://www.my.charitywater.org/be-present  Our totals from the concert will be added soon!

Take note of the All Church Business Meeting on November 17 from 5-6:00 pm at the Hazel Dell Campus.  This meeting is to give you ALL the information about the potential building purchase for the Hazel Dell Campus.  If you attend Battle Ground, this is for you as well!  We are one church that is looking to use our money to best impact those all over Clark County.

We have about 100 children on any given Sunday at North Creek Church.  And we have the best volunteers on the planet who love, serve, and teach them throughout the year.  Thank you so much for investing into the life of a child.  Want to help?  Fill out a volunteer form at www.coffeechurch.com.

Jordan (at BG) and Matt (at HD) both knocked it out of the park with worship on Sunday.  A shout out to their teams as well!  It takes a lot of work to lead people in worship each week.  By the way, how is your worship life?  Are you taking those precious moments to turn your attention on Jesus?

Josiah preached at Battle Ground on the life of John the Baptist.  Isn’t it fun to watch Josiah preach?  He is extremely gifted in memorization and will rattle off a full chapter of the Bible in the middle of his sermon…every time!  It’s fascinating!

We also kicked off Be Present at Hazel Dell.  This one is near and dear to my heart because it is solely rooted in where our hearts really are.  We focus SO much on the fear in this world when we look at our giving and don’t put near enough focus on the power of God.  He’s going to take care of us.  It’s OK to be generous and trust Him.  This will be a great service as we head into the Christmas season.

Here’s our Christmas Schedule so you can plan ahead:

December 10 & 11 – Simply Christmas Concert/Worship Night

December 22 – Christmas Celebration Service

Hope that you have an amazing week and that you look outside of yourself this week!  Be blessed!

Congrats to Eli and Amber Ricondo on the birth of Josiah on Sunday morning!  Eli was scheduled for sound, but I think he came up with the best excuse ever to miss church!  We got to go see Josiah today and he is such a handsome baby.  We look forward to adding his cuteness into the rest of our awesome North Creek babies.  We brew a lot of coffee and birth a lot of babies at this church….

Tomorrow is the event we’ve been waiting for!  If you haven’t bought tickets to the concert, below is the info.

FB Revived Tour Banner Design Final

All of our services went awesome on Sunday!  Battle Ground finished up the Hunger series talking about the fullness of God, while Hazel Dell got to hear Josiah Thalhofer dive into the life of John the Baptist.  Both phenomenal messages!

The Deaf Church Women were off on a retreat this weekend.  Rumor has it that it was a lot of fun and everybody enjoyed themselves!

LOVE our worship teams!  Thank you for serving!

We announced on Sunday that the loan we needed for the Hazel Dell campus went away…yeah, don’t ask me where it went.  While we are still eligible for a different loan, the ramifications of that is that our payments will be about $1500 higher each month.  Right now that is not currently in the budget and will change our percentages as well.  This means that every month we will need extra…exact amount to be determined  If you haven’t begun to give to North Creek Church, would you consider starting now?  If every person in our church gave $100 a month more than they do, our budget would double overnight.  Can you imagine what we could do with a doubled budget????  Coffee Churches everywhere! 😉  I call the Hawaii Campus.

Battle Ground got seven new volunteers this month!  Thank you for jumping in to make our church such a great place.  If you are thinking about volunteering, you might like to know that we only want you to serve ONE Sunday a month.  It’s easy, it’s fun, and it’s a great way to get to know people.  Not to mention that the paycheck is being part of changing lives every week!

Mark your calendars for November 17 from 5:00-6:00.  We will have an All-Church Business Meeting to go over the nitty-gritty details of the building purchase, so that we, as a congregation, can make a decision.  So far, it’s all pretty good news, but we really want you to know everything before we sign the dotted line.

Know a teenager?  Tell the about The Difference Youth Ministry that meets every Thursday night.  More info available at www.coffeechurch.com.

We survived Daylight Savings Time.  I audibly laughed at those of you who showed up an hour early.  I did it once years ago…

Please remember to vote by tomorrow!  Our community is so important and voting is one way we can do our best to make it a great place.  And my friend, Cheryl Bledsoe, is running for Freeholder in District 2.  I’m so proud of her for putting her name on the line to serve Clark County!  Way to go, Cheryl!!!!

Well, go riffle through the Halloween Candy and be blessed with week!  So much to do and so much fun to have!

Such a great weekend!  It seems like October took flight and flew right by me!  Hard to believe that another month has come and gone…

We got the privilege of giving away two first time Bibles on Sunday.  One to a child and one to an adult.  I so vividly remember my first Bible and what it meant to me!  It was love at first sight!  You can sponsor a box of Bibles for $75.00.  That will provide 24 people with their first opportunity to read the Word of God.  What an honor!

We had amazing worship sets and sermons at each campus!  Love our worship team.  Love our preachers!

I have a shout out to Kari and Terrance who have been coming early to do whatever needs to be done!  They are such wonderful people and I thank God every day for bringing them through the doors!  We also have so many more people who serve behind the scenes that I am thankful for!

My mom was in town for a few days.  She is a crafting genius, so my house is covered in kid’s crafts…I have never seen so much construction paper in my life.

We had a very educational Question/Answer time for our potential new building on Sunday night.  Chris Harold made charts and diagrams…pretty cool! If you couldn’t be at that meeting, we’ll find a way to get all that info to you soon.

How can you help with the building process?  Give money.  Financial institutions base decisions about lending on the financial backing of the congregation.  (In a perfect world, they would just give us money because we are nice people, but that’s not reality!)   Also, moving has a cost to it.  We will need money for some renovation, paint, and equipment, all the while continuing to pay our staff and maintain our ministries.  If you aren’t tithing, now is a great time to start.  If you are able to give above and beyond your tithe, we would appreciate it!  If you would like to give before the month’s end, you can give online at www.coffeechurch.com.

What is the timeline for the building purchase?  We have until November 25 to make a decision with the purchase price of $575,000.

We’ve had a lot of questions lately about the Battle Ground youth ministry.  We are doing well getting a team together, but are still searching out the main leader of that ministry.  Would you pray with us for God’s perfect fit?

Small Groups are a little over half done already.  I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know a lot of new friends from our group.  We’ve been discussing personal finances, which has been so interesting.  Debt should be one of the greatest enemy in our lives!

We are having a building inspection done today on the potential new facility, so we’ll keep you posted on any concerns that may arise from that.  Also, tonight there is a walk through from 6-7:00 pm for those of you who may not have seen it, yet!  The address is 811 NE 88th Circle, Vancouver, WA 98665.

Hope you are blessed!
