Good Friday and Easter Sunday

SO excited about this week at North Creek!  While the world is in chaos, one thing remains stable and trustworthy…the TRUE LOVE of Jesus.  That is our message and that is our mission in spite of all that seems to be happening around us!

With that in mind, we have two “Don’t Miss This” events this weekend that you can be a part of…

First, we are heading towards Good Friday where we will be baptizing a dozen people!  I can’t think of a better way to honor the death of our Savior than by watching people stand for faith in the forgiveness of their sins.  It will be POWERFUL!  Join us as we worship, take communion, and experience baptisms in our service.  We have two people from our deaf church being baptized, so our service will be ASL interpreted.  Also, kids under 5 will have childcare provided.  Older kids will love the service!  Get to the Link Church building early as we expect a full house.

Then we get to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection on Easter Sunday at Prairie High School.  We will have a treat for all the kids, incredible music, and the life-changing message of our RISEN savior. Service starts at 10:00 am, but coffee is hot at 9:30 am, so come early!  We are also taking a special offering for CharityWater.org to make a difference around the world for people who desperately need life-giving clean water.  If you are unable to be with us this Sunday, you can give online under BePresent at www.coffeechurch.com.  It is going to be a truly beautiful morning to share with family and friends.

Easter is Around the Corner

It is just one week until we unroll a weekend worth of honoring our crucified, yet risen Christ!  Easter is my favorite holiday of all and such an amazing reminder that our sin has been nailed to a cross and we are FREE!  It means everything to me and I cannot wait to celebrate.

If you have never been to church, you are welcome.  No need to dress up or be perfect.  Just come and be rest assured that you are in good company of people with scars, pasts, and faults.  We all have one thing in common…Christ died for us and we are no longer bound by what we were.

Here are the events that you can join us for as we set aside time to hear the story of Jesus once again.

Friday, April 18 Good Friday Services

Join us for a unique Good Friday Celebration on Friday April 18th. We believe that Jesus’ death made a way for us to have life. It will be one of the most creative approaches to telling that story. The night is hosted by Pastor Chris Harold with Matt Garner, Alissa Fisher and the North Creek Band. Grab a friend and don’t miss this.

This event is located at North Creek Church in Battle Ground, WA (Next to Maple Grove Elementary).

Childcare is provided up to ages 5. Your older children are welcome to enjoy the night with you.

Sunday, April 20 Easter Services

All four of our services will be dedicated to telling the story of the resurrection of Jesus!  Everybody is welcome!  Kids will have their own special services with a gift.

Easter at the Coffee Church

Facebook timelineI can’t wait for Easter Sunday!  It’s one of my favorite weekends of the year as we take time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.  It’s the moment in history that separates every other religion from Christianity.

Without Easter, we serve a dead Christ whose promises were buried in a grave with Him.  With Easter, we serve a living Savior who has defeated death itself and bridged the gap for our sins.  Now that’s a reason to celebrate!

Our theme for the morning is “This Changes Everything.”  So many people in our world just need something to change in their lives.  What if Jesus is the change people are looking for?  What if He’s the change YOU’RE looking for?  We want to invite EVERYBODY to join us!  We don’t care if you love church, hate church, are scared of church…we just want you to come and experience what Jesus is all about in an environment where you’ll be love and accepted.

We’ll also have special stuff for all of the kids and a gift to send home with them as well, so your children will be well taken care of!

So, wear whatever you want, grab a cup of coffee on the way in the door, and enjoy Easter morning with us at the Coffee Church.  See you soon!
